About Me

I have never been one to talk about myself. I always felt that if there was something important to tell, it would speak for itself. With that being said, I want to give you an opportunity to get to know me. In an attempt to write a bio page about who I am, I have decided to simply go down a list of questions I often get asked. Here goes.

My name is Blayne a.k.a Indofear and I am a Personal Trainer, Body Builder, Writer, Cosplayer, Youtuber, Twitch Streamer, Former Competitive Gamer, with a background in Teaching, Information Technologies and Law Enforcement.

How did you get into fitness and personal training?

The one constant with all my career choices and passions is helping people and being a pillar of the community. I feel that I have an opportunity to do that through helping you achieve your fitness goals!

I was not always a very athletic person. It wasn't until I was nearly graduating high school that I sought out the gym and started working out. Like many of you, I had the goal to get in shape, lean out, build muscle and create a body I could be proud of. As I entered college, I had friends that were into long distance running. I ended up finding myself participating in this sport for about a year. Eventually I realized that running as a sport was not something I enjoyed doing as a past time and toned it down while returning to a focus on the gym and lifting.

As the years went on, I mulled over what I wanted to do with my life. I knew I loved fitness and I was wrapping up a degree in English and Communications. Out the gate from high school there were three constants that stood out in my mind and were things that stuck out for me while in college as well. Those were, fitness, to become a teacher, and to become a police officer. I pursued my passion of fitness, but had no direction for it so I just focused on myself regarding it. When I graduated from college I applied to join my local police department as well as entering the credential program to become a teacher. I was a quarter of the way through the credential program by the time I accomplished the lengthy recruitment process for the police department and entered the police academy.

Unfortunately halfway through the academy I suffered an on duty injury in the police academy which caused a torn quad and groin in my left leg and resulted in my being medically discharged. I decided to go back and finish my teaching credential but found that although I was a great educator, teaching was not my passion and not something I could see myself doing for 20+ years. That eventually led me to getting into Information Technologies (IT for short) in support of the education system. I have always had a passion for tech since I was a kid so it was an obvious choice to transition from teaching to IT when the opportunity opened up

With that being said the turning point for me regarding fitness was going through the rigors of becoming a police officer and being hurt on the job. It was ultimately one of the hardest things I went through since one of my main passions in life is law enforcement. Fortunately I have the opportunity to be involved with law enforcement today, and that injury created a crossroads that led me here to finding my passion in helping you all accomplish your goals! It was after my injury that I truly fell in love with fitness and found a passion for body building as well as other sports. I never wanted to have an injury stop me in my tracks again so I fully embraced fitness and bodybuilding which helped pave the way for where I am today. The one constant with all my career choices and passions is helping people and being a pillar of the community. I feel that I have an opportunity to do that through helping you achieve your fitness goals!

How did you get into cosplaying, streaming on TwitchTV and competitive gaming? what role does that play in your life today?

I attended my first convention, Comikaze Expo, aka Stan Lee LA Comic Con in 2013 with some family members. I was part of a group of friends that would make large house / Halloween parties that would range anywhere up to 400+ people in attendance. Being creative, making costumes, props, buildings, etc. has been a foundation for me for many years. I ended up stumbling across cosplay and subsequently wanted to check out a comic convention. Attending that convention was a turning point for me as I have attended several conventions since then and have been fortunate to not only make many incredible friends, many who I consider family at this point, but also build a fan base around my passion for cosplay as well. Eventually this passion and following also evolved into a following that supported my passion for fitness. When I started sharing my fitness journey on social media, strangers and friends alike wanted to know what I was doing to transform my body and even inquired about personal training. I can thank cosplay and what has come with it for helping propel me further into fitness and personal training.

As for streaming on TwitchTV and being a competitive gamer - gaming became a passion of mine at a very early age. Being surrounded by family members that embraced it as a past time and growing up in an environment that fostered quality time together through common interests really helped create memories and build a solid foundation for who I am today. From an early age onward I fell in love with the competitive aspect of gaming and eventually found myself competing in gaming leagues for first person shooters (FPS) and Massively Online Multiplayer (MMO) games. It's a unique niche to make anything of it as a competitive sport, even in recent years where gaming is more widely accepted and supported with money rewards so I eventually cut back on extensive gaming in favor of pursuing other ventures.

With all that being said, I still do game and I want to use both my cosplaying and gaming background as motivation that you can enjoy hobbies and past times like gaming, but still enjoy and embrace fitness as well. Whether you're wanting to just be healthy or obtain your ideal physique, nothing is impossible, no matter what and I am here to help you achieve your goals!

The difference between a winner and a loser, although they both failed, the winner gets back up and does it again and again until it goes his way. Get the mid right and the body will follow. You lose some battles in life, but if you always put your heart and passion forward first as your main objective, you will win the war. That's what gives you the strength to get off the ground and do it again.
